The Wallace Stegner fellowship is a unique writing program that is offered by Stanford university. It offers 2-year fellowships annually to ten writers. Materials Needed For The Application
For you to apply you will need to supply personal background information, contact information for two recommenders who can attest to your suitability for the workshop. Do not ask for recommendation letters. You will need to also supply a sample of your work which is not more than 9000 words for fiction and not more than 15 pages for poetry and a statement of plans not exceeding 1000 words.
Stegner Fellowship Tips
You are required to pay an application fee of$85 by credit card but if you send your entry via mail then you should include a check made payable to Stanford university or money order but not cash.
You Can Get A Waiver
In the application you can ask for a fee waiver but the request should never exceed the application deadline for Stegner fellowship.
